Sentinel Prime Privacy Policy for Customer Data
Sentinel Prime Inc. ("Sentinel Prime," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our websites, software, and services — including Shift by Sentinel, Sentinel Shield, Sentinel Care, SentinelAI, and related products (collectively, the "Services") — how we use that information, and the choices you have.
1. Our Privacy Commitment
We build privacy-first tools. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or data brokers. We collect only what is necessary to provide, secure, and improve our Services, process payments, and support customers.
2. Information We Collect

- Account and contact data: Email address, name, and password when you create an account or contact support
- Payment data: Billing details processed by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers
- Support communications: Messages you send via Sentinel Care chat, contact forms, or email
- Subscription and license data: Activation codes, product selections, and subscription plan details
Information collected automatically
- Website usage: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and referring URLs
- Download and install events: Version, operating system, and approximate region (for product analytics)
- License validation: Activation events, machine or device identifiers used to enforce license terms
- Security logs: Authentication attempts, API errors, and abuse-prevention signals
Information processed locally
Many Sentinel Prime products are designed to run locally on your device. SentinelAI, Sentinel Shield, and related desktop software may process files, conversations, and system data on your machine without transmitting that content to our servers unless you explicitly use a cloud-connected feature (such as Sentinel Care AI chat or optional integrations).
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Services
- Process payments and deliver activation codes
- Authenticate accounts and validate licenses
- Respond to support requests and Sentinel Care conversations
- Send transactional emails (receipts, activation codes, password resets)
- Monitor security, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms
- Analyze aggregate product usage to improve reliability and features
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
4. How We Store Data — Supabase
Account profiles, subscriptions, activation codes, license events, and related records are stored in Supabase, a hosted PostgreSQL database with authentication services. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest per Supabase's security practices. Access is restricted to authorized Sentinel Prime systems and personnel with a legitimate business need.
Tables may include: user profiles, subscriptions, activation codes, payment history references, download/install analytics, and audit logs. We retain data only as long as needed to provide the Services or meet legal requirements.
5. Payments — Stripe
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you purchase a subscription or product, Stripe collects payment card information and billing details directly. We receive limited information from Stripe (such as customer ID, payment status, and last four digits of your card) to fulfill your order and manage subscriptions.
Stripe's handling of your data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. We never store complete payment card numbers on our servers.
6. AI and Third-Party Processors
When you use Sentinel Care AI chat or other cloud AI features, your messages may be processed by third-party AI providers (such as Groq) solely to generate responses. We do not use those conversations to train third-party models for advertising. Optional web search features may send query text to search providers to retrieve current information.
We may also use:
- Resend or similar services for transactional email delivery
- Netlify for website hosting and serverless functions
- GitHub for software distribution
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website uses minimal cookies and local storage:
- Essential cookies: Admin session authentication and security
- localStorage: Preferences such as whether the home page intro animation has played (
sentinel_visited) - Stripe cookies: When you complete checkout, Stripe may set cookies required for fraud prevention and payment processing
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels on sentinelprime.org. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may limit certain features.
8. Data Sharing
We share information only in these circumstances:
- Service providers: Vendors who help us operate the Services (hosting, payments, email, database) under contractual confidentiality obligations
- Legal requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, and security
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Services. Analytics and log data may be retained in aggregated or de-identified form. You may request deletion of your account data subject to legal and operational retention requirements (e.g., payment records).
10. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

- Opt out of marketing emails (we send few; transactional emails cannot always be opted out of)
- Cancel subscriptions through your account or by contacting us

11. Children's Privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
12. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure development practices. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. International Users
Sentinel Prime is based in the United States. If you access our Services from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.
14. Changes to This Policy
